Hi, my name is Sarah. Nice to meet you.
I am a lover of raspberry lemonade, good books, extra sharp cheddar cheese, beach vacations, and belly laughs, among other things. I can neither whistle nor back float.
When I was but a mere girl of 15, I met a man-child called The Mister and loved him hopelessly until he finally agreed to marry me years later in 2007. But I let him think I was playing hard-to-get. Don't tell him I told you that.
In 2008, we hatched a crazy plan to spend a few months in East Africa with some dear friends of ours, and this blog was done birthed. Should you so desire, you can read about our African lives, including our rare wildlife sightings, snake handling, luxury travel, innovative cuisine, lessons learned and other (mis)adventures.
After our time in Africa, we returned to Phoenix, became responsible, checked off to-do lists, made some best friends, met Pioneer Woman and took a fantastic and sadly under-blogged trip to the Middle East. But the gypsy blood stirred, and before we knew it we were learning Spanish and making plans to spend a year (or two) in the south of Spain teaching English.
And here we are! Living la vida española!
